This blog link was posted in the ogplanet forums the other day and it got a lot of views o__o. So if any new people are continuing to check up on this blog, hi.
Of course hi to all the old readers too.
Next week is finals week for me so (because I am a total procrastinator) I feel like playing latale right now.
I was looking at my stats earlier today and I think if I go magic and luck card hunting I might actually reach 2k in both.
As you can see I am almost at 2k for luck and magic :3. I think if I maxed my reps I could get there easier but I enjoy card hunting more.
Yes that is advance vintaid gear, and it only has luck on it. I probably should make some luck gems before I switch to degos (which I still need to farm ely for the accessories, that or rep).
Strangely enough my archmage has a higher luck stat. o3o
I'll post an updated picture later today or tomorrow to show the change in my luck stat. I WILL get it to 2000 before finals.
Hey, I have a lvl 150 duel and is quickly running out of Ely because I buy pots. Any suggestions on how to make money to get the gear I need without using real money(astros)?
ReplyDeleteThere's a section on that in her blog :) at the top of the page there should be "Ely Guide" click on that.
DeleteGood luck!
Hi Noah, :).
DeleteTo Will: for your level I would recommend you try farming cards (menu->monster illustration to see which ones you are missing) then sell the equipment to npcs/your pet when your inventory gets full. If you don't have a ton of equipment room then I would recommend you try doing quests in the webfoot octopus temple (take the airplane there for free from elias), and if you finish with those quests go back and do the aquarium ones (if you are wearing beginner vintor time attack gear the aquarium monsters will be a lot easier). Finally if you are in a guild that crops try selling the crop only stuff like dried bread and lettuce in the auction house.
As for the pot issue I never really had that problem since either I lived or I died, it sounds like you have some sort of survivalbility which is great for your class. To reduce potion costs you might want to ask for a syringe from the astro shop. It has no time limit and when you equip it you can use a special healing skill for free (the said healing skill does have a 20 second cooldown but that isn't as long as it sounds with you running from one tiger temple mob to another).
I hope this helps some. However if you are broke right now then you are doing something right (as long as you have enough ely to buy potions and have some sort of hw), you have spent all that ely on your character making it stronger.
If it makes you feel any better at all, I am broke too. And I can farm hardcore which I do every day- I'm STILL broke. It's because I spend it on stuff that helps my character out (like food, potions, mats to upgrade my crafting levels, downgrading degos gear). ^-^ I think if you have over 50m at any time on your account either you are: saving up for something, about to spend it, or are at endgame WITH your gear/gems/codexes/pet stack/fashion/chargers/foods all in done and you don't need to spend it on yourself at all.
so basically...get used to being broke
Thanks for the advice, since I don't plan on spending real money and have a tiny inventory I might grind till I can farm coli and make myself gear(even though I'm not sure to go with subclass or not) Btw what is this beginner vintor gear you talked about? I am wearing goddess seres event armour that has a nice hp boost.
DeleteAny advises on what gear to work towards? (FYI I also have low coli accessory and working on coli gunblade)
IMO, Seres +7 is better than BegTAID; you get a huge HP cushion and a firetruck ton of stats which are hard to replace with BegTAID, but easier to replace with AdvTAID. You may just want to switch out the glvoes, though, because Seres has an abysmal Crit Dam bonus (only 40%, I think QwQ). Honestly, though, I'm still running Seres on all of my characters and will probably be only switching it out on Degos once I get to 193-194. Besides, it's not like I have any ely to spare on leeches, I need to get Kaneris her Christmas present. And even if I had enough for leeches, I'd spend it on pets.
ReplyDeleteSo what gloves should I use and how can I add more critical to it? Also what is advTAID? I've seen people with sparkling vintor but don't know what it is and how they got it.
DeleteColi gloves are expensive to upgrade and honestly you can make good npc gloves too but that takes a lot of ely (and a lot of enchantment resources- I went through 100+ advance supers just to make my magic crit damage npc gloves). Honestly though Noah is giving you advice that most players do- focus on gloves + weapon. Let me tell you a little secret- Kaneris that could solo beg taid at level 185, could BLANK at level 185? Well guess what her gloves are at (and still are at); did I hear you say 90%? lol you flatter me. No her gloves are 27% m-crit damage.
Delete27%
That means with advance vintaid boosts they sit at 47%
And will the full set effect they sit at 77%
I bet you have some crit damage passives I don't (30% passive on my phantom mage) so you could probably beat that crit damage o_o.
As for the set effect for vintaid- my friend Jon said you can get more (than the full set effect) if you do agent glasses and a few other things I took a screenie of but have forgotten currently. Which means I have 47% gloves vs your 40% gloves- 7% difference isn't that much. I wouldn't try to upgrade your gloves yet.
When you do finally get other gear you can enchant, I would try to stack stats in this order: luck (until you get 2400 luck or close to it)>strength>stamina/hp. Strength actually adds damage and even though it might not add a ton it will add up per hit.
The seres set isn't bad it just doesn't have any offensive stats on it which is what I think Noah is getting at. Even coli has some TDD on it which helps your damage a ton (if you don't have a brownie pet yet you should get one). You will notice a huge damage increase if you ever do make it to level 19X for the degos set though it is even more expensive then coli.
By expensive I mean the reopts are 1.2m each.
And to downgrade it (level it down)...its 2m per. attempt. :(
So I really wouldn't rush to endgame thinking it will get better- because it doesn't. You might not even be able to solo expert or hardcore- I know I can do it now on both my pm and my archmage but I have 5 pets and 350 cards (not to mention I worked on some of my gems). Before the subclass rebalance though my phantom mage couldn't solo hardcore or expert as easy as my archmage could.
Levels mean nothing at endgame. Actually at any point in the game levels mean nothing if you have good gear/spent time on your character. I would spend time getting ely or finding a way on making more than you are spending before hitting endgame.
My suggestion is again cards>quests>level so you can rep farm. Questing will get you potions you can use :D, and sometimes the end quest will give you titles/gems/emotions. Just do maybe an hour of questing a day and you should be making more then you are spending.
Thanks for the advice, I'll def need to get back some money. However I don't get what the cards are about? How does that make you money.
DeleteRegarding the pets I do have a brownie unused in my gift bundle should I use it? And when it expires how do I recharge it? Can you also briefly describe how they work in general (feeding it, levelling up, how to let it auto sell).
For the moment imma stay with my armour, but weapons!
I made myself a coli gunblade before I knew I had to reop and now it costs half a mill per attempt (feel soooo stupid about it) how are coli weapon if I can get max/main on it? Or should I save up the money and get a coupon for advanced coli or something else?
When you farm for cards, you're basically farming random field mobs. The cards they drop, when used and if you succeed, give you free permanent stats. While you do this, mobs will naturally drop npc armor and weapons and it's useful to have a pet with the shop ability to be able to sell them on the go, so that you don't have to waste idr time going back and forth from the town.
DeleteIf the weapon's durability is under 200 before you've started enchanting it, you should just get rid of it because resupering is going to be practically useless.
I made the same mistake recently, actually, but once I got the right enchants, I managed to pull off 44min/64max on it by resupering.
Honestly, Adv colis aren't worth it unless they're +15 and that's not for all weapons. I'd stick with the regular colis.
Yeah, Brownie is useful until you can max your TDD in other ways like gems, item codex, etc. I'd use it. As for recharging it, you have to use an herb of life, which is astros, but other players sell it real cheap.
At your level, either coli gloves upgraded to your level with super/resupered crit dam which should give you in between +50% to +70% on top of the bonus the gloves already give, which is like +15% or something, so that's in between +65% and +90%. However, that costs a lot of Ely. BegTAID can be done from level 150 to level 185 and is recommended to be done in parties, or you buy a leech for 5ish million. The gloves are level 150 and give up to +5x crit dam plus glove bonus, but are hard to find.
ReplyDeleteSince you're short on cash, there isn't really THAT much you can do. Maybe try and find a party that you can do some runs with and hopefully get gloves (tell them all you're trying to get is gloves) or try and get a free leech from a guild member, if you're in one. AdvTaid is pretty much BegTaid but stronger and at level 190.
Both dungeons are accessible through the Infinite Corridor, in the Guild Union (where you got your first subclass quests).
Thanks
DeleteWhat is super or resuper and is it possible to increase durability?
