Leveling Guide! *updated 1/1/2016*

A lot has changed with the recent updates so I am going to put my disclaimer to all of this up at the top right here where everyone can see it: I have leveled two characters now (and had input from a few friends) post spooky+tiger temple revamp and have level 1-140 pretty smoothed out; however I could be completely wrong/this guide could suck, so take everything here with a grain of salt. I wanted to get a few characters to 19X before I updated this but there are literally no decent leveling guides out there and my own outdated one appeared when I did a google search so...here we are.

All classes are good for funded characters now as long as you have most of the codex's on the same account.

The questing route
Levels 1-140= questing. Press 'q' and scroll down to see where to go if you get stuck...the first 10 levels or so are from tutorial quests easy stuff.
Level 140-155= tiger temple (still the best option at this level if you are new/or soloing w/o funds)
Level 155+= new quests are supposed to open up at El Anoir mountain (might be a little after this I haven't gotten this far yet- I will re-update this when I get there)

Eventually the quests will run out/take too long/you get bored. If this happens I suggest you try grinding at expert coli/monster tower...or if you have really good gear/a nice friend try floor 3 of the museum. After the Museum you can do sky coli if your level is high enough and your gear is good enough.

The quest & grinding route (unfunded)
1-55= quests, don't worry this will only take you an hour or two tops specially after you hit the pyramid quests.
55-75= spooky 70, to get there go to elias go to the center of town near the teleport crystal and to the right of the crystal there should be a blue skinned npc, talk to that dude and go to the space between time and one of those portals goes to spooky 70.
75-95= lilliput, grind on the ships first then when you are ready go two maps over to the spinning dudes and start mobbing
95-100= egg egg castle or do the quests (at atlantis or others press 'Q' to see)
100-130=inter coli/monster tower/these levels are the worst for questing
130= tiger temple if you can handle it, if not do some of those midguard quests really fast then do tiger temple at 140
140-220 can all be done by grinding if you so desire. Tiger temple ->spooky 170 (mob the bottom when ready/in a group)->expert fulls->museum.

The funded super buffed way (think most codex's + syrups/buffs)
Check out Mr. Bidoof's videos on youtube here and here, I don't see how anything he is doing is wrong though personally I could not do what he is doing with buffs at level 105 with 116 accuracy....and I have most of the codex stuff *shrugs* I figured I should add this part in just in case you guys want to die to monsters and think this game is easy lol.

Have fun leveling :).

  1. What I do is immediately go to Monster Tower as soon as I get out of the "training grounds". Doing the first floor twice without a prime will get you to level 18, I think. With a prime, level 25-30, depending on your combos. If I didn't have a prime, I'll go to Elias and do quests until 20, when I'll collect the even stuff from the bank. Usually, I'll be able to nab a prime xp hw, a superior xp hw and a Ignate's Title Coupon (this has happened the last 5 times I've made a new character). Then I'll use the prim and head off to kill level appropriate monsters until 25, then go to spooky and follow approximately what you said you do.

    1. That works too, it even gives you the same reputation (I just hope you opened the rep by going to coli first). I just encourage leveling in groups because mid-endgame you are going to have to level with people if you want to level fast. I don't know where you are getting the Ignates from o_o must be some newbie event.

  2. You can get Ignates from Holy Water Boxes o.o and yeah, you go to coli to open the rep first. I've always kind of been a solo player and the few people I know are all in they 19+s while I'm in my 12x to 14x. I've been making a few friends now though, so yay!

    1. Ah that explains why the price suddenly deflated- the holy water box event is the cause!

I get the solo player feel. Its basically what people do for the first half of the game. Unfortunately unless you have a high leveled endgame character you can't solo mid to endgame on your alt.You can't even get to endgame without friends starting at level 120 (well you CAN but tiger temple is like spooky in terms of best xp for that level range, you could always quest too. . .). At around 188-190 (depends on gear) you can duo expert coli with another reasonably geared person. Until then though prepare yourself to be surrounded by people that suck and people that are so horribly geared you question how they could've gotten that far.

To find parties easier I suggest throwing your ely at your gear and weapon to make them as good as you can- so that way you aren't just 'decent' you are 'slightly above decent' (good and godly are reserved for the endgame armors due to bonuses). Farming cards helps if your gear is above average already.

Or you could always make a bard and skip the whole gear issue lololol. Bards are loved <3. Seriously loved (and if you do make a bard prepare yourself for the load of male and females that suddenly WANT to date you O-o).

  3. My weapons right now are pretty decent, my spear having +37% max and my spiral sword having +35% max, I think, but it's my armor that needs work. I'm using vintor armor at level 140 with InvokeTaid stocking, stego ring, rabana mantle and red cross earrings. At least I have FG seset and mixed with full metal set items. WHY DOES COLI ARMOR HAVE TO BE SO EXPENSIVE TO UPGRADE GAHHHHHHHHH

When it comes to TT, I find it pretty easy to make and/or find parties.

When it comes to cards, I'm not sure which cards I should get. I'm also not very patient, so grinding on one monster gets very tiring for me very quickly. I also don't know which cards I should get and which I shouldn't waste my time on.

Oh, and trust me, I don't need to be a bard to have people wanting to date me ;)

    1. First off I loled at the last line, okay on to technical stuff.
Not Super-ed 37 and 35 are really good for those weapons (I'm pretty sure 40% is the best you can have without super enchanting it- if you did super enchant it then...QQ).

Yeah TT is easy to party at but when you hit level 175 you should be able to do full expert runs with a decent party (this is where you should start to be picky because THERE ARE NEWBS THAT TOTALLY WILL SCREW YOU OVER).

Coli armor is so expensive because it is essentially the best armor in the game before you reach degos. It is like a mini degos set. But that only applies if the armor is decently enchanted (anything below 30/30 stam/luck don't even bother upgrading it and just stick with taid stuff).

Get all of the cards. Okay you have no patience- that's why you don't do it all at once (if you do it all at once you are more insane than me..who farmed them for 3 months on and off). You're going to need them all eventually....they give free stats (+300 free stats). Let me repeat that again. They. Give. You. FREE. STATS. No puzzles. No chance of breaking your gear. No ely required (if you sell the armor and crap you get while farming you can get 10m from TRYING to get level 80 cards + more if good stuff drops on the bosses :P). If they work they give you free PERMANENT stats.
